2. Fields of Study Covered

Eligible students must be studying (or have been accepted) in the following disciplines:

  • Mining Engineering (REF: M-ENG003)

  • Geology (REF: GEO-003)

  • Analytical Chemistry (REF: A-C003)

  • Electrical Engineering (REF: E-ENG003)

  • Mechanical Engineering (REF: MEC-E003)

  • Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering (REF: MET/CHE003)

  • Mechatronics Engineering (REF: MECT-E003)


3. Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Tharisa Bursary, you must meet these criteria:

  • Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.

  • Academic Record: * Matric certificate with at least 60% in Mathematics and Physical Science.

    • Full academic record (if already at a tertiary institution).

  • Status: Currently registered or officially accepted into one of the listed fields.

  • Exclusion: You must not have any other existing bursary or sponsorship.


4. Required Documentation

You must upload the following documents in their respective fields:

  1. Updated CV (Upload in the "CV" field).

  2. Certified copy of South African ID.

  3. Proof of Registration or Acceptance Letter.

  4. Full Academic Record.

    Note: Upload supporting documents under the "Qualifications and Payslip" section if necessary.
