Remuneration
Basic Salary: R254,808.00 – R353,892.00 per annum
Estimated Remuneration Package: R357,290.00 – R483,405.00 per annum
Job Purpose
To execute operational projects effectively by maintaining set targets for time, cost, resources, and standards. The role involves performing tasks on the non-energised electrical distribution network while strictly adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85 of 1993).
Minimum Requirements
Education: Grade 10 certificate.
Qualifications: Successful completion of a Linesman course and a Cable course.
Driver’s License: Valid Code C1 driving license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
Experience: Relevant experience in local authority electrical networks.
Physical Fitness: Must be physically healthy and fit to perform manual labour and climb structures.
Criminal Record: Must undergo a criminal record check and allow fingerprinting for verification.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution: Execute maintenance and project-related tasks on the electrical distribution network as instructed by the supervisor.
Maintenance: Ensure the safety and reliability of the service delivery regarding the electrical network.
Health & Safety: Maintain high safety standards and use required safety gear at all times.
Logistics: Transport personnel, materials, and equipment to operational sites when required.
