Role Outline
Based at the Unilever Ndlovu Park facility, this is a fast-paced role within a busy logistics operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of stock using a Reach Truck, ensuring productivity and quality standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Movement: Perform replenishment and put-away of incoming stock into racking or shuttle systems.
MHE Operation: Safe operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE); completion of daily MHE checklists and reporting of defects.
Quality Control: Handle goods with care to minimize damage; ensure pallets meet stacking standards; participate in stock counts.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all Health & Safety standards; report non-conformities or unsafe acts; maintain warehouse housekeeping and hygiene.
Administration: Complete administrative tasks and record-keeping in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Minimum Requirements
Education: Grade 12 (Matric).
Certification: Must possess a valid Reach Truck License.
Experience: 1–2 years’ experience in a warehousing, logistics, or FMCG environment.
Core Competencies & Skills
Technical: WMOS (Warehouse Management Operating System) knowledge/experience and computer literacy.
Operational: Ability to meet deadlines and KPIs; understanding of packaging and warehousing methods.
Physical: Appropriate hand, eye, and foot coordination to operate MHE effectively.
Personal: Strong problem-solving skills; ability to communicate effectively; ability to perform accurate counting and basic math.
Flexibility: Willingness to work additional/flexible hours and overtime as required.
