Role Purpose
To deliver engaging, future-focused English lessons to students in the Further Education and Training (FET) phase. The role involves guiding learners to reach their full academic potential using innovative teaching methodologies within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Excellence: Deliver dynamic lessons that prepare students for post-school life; use innovative methodologies to challenge and inspire learners.
Classroom Management: Promote a culture of discipline and mutual respect; maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
School Culture: Act as a brand ambassador for Maragon Mooikloof; uphold school values and participate in school activities.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain professional and open communication with parents, colleagues, and the broader school community.
Administration: Complete academic assessments and reporting accurately and on time; adhere to all school health and safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements
Education: A recognized degree (NQF Level 7) and a PGCE or B.Ed (FET phase) with English as a subject specialization.
Certification: Valid SACE registration is mandatory.
Clearance: Valid police clearance certificate.
Experience: 2–5 years of subject-specific teaching experience.
Technical Skills: Strong digital literacy and the ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
