Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Computer literacy
- Technical skills and understanding of industrial or production operations
- At least 2 years of production experience in an FMCG environment
- Experience in utilities or processing environments will be an advantage
- Relevant trade test qualification will be an advantage
Key Responsibilities
Boiler Operations
- Operate coal and biogas boilers safely and efficiently
- Monitor boiler performance and operating conditions
- Measure and record operational performance
- Identify and respond to abnormal operating conditions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
Production Operations
- Operate plant machinery and processing equipment
- Monitor production processes
- Support production targets and operational objectives
- Ensure utilities are available according to production requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency
Health and Safety
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Identify workplace hazards and risks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
Equipment Maintenance
- Conduct operator-level maintenance activities
- Assist with breakdown maintenance
- Report equipment faults and operational issues
- Help maintain machinery in good operating condition
Compliance and Inspections
- Prepare boilers for government inspections
- Maintain operational and safety standards
- Support compliance with industry regulations
