Key Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4)
- Mechanical engineering, fitting, or maintenance certificate is advantageous
- Experience assisting artisans, fitters, or maintenance teams is beneficial
- Basic knowledge of tools, mechanical components, equipment servicing, and workshop practices
- Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and perform physical maintenance tasks
Duties
- Assist fitters and artisans with inspections, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Prepare tools, equipment, materials, and work areas
- Clean and lubricate mechanical components
- Support equipment inspections and report defects or hazards
- Maintain workshop housekeeping and safety standards
