Job Overview
An established company in Kempton Park is looking for a dependable and professional Delivery Driver to join its logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering products safely and on time while maintaining company vehicles and providing excellent customer service.
This role includes long-distance deliveries and may require overnight travel, with trips lasting up to one week at a time.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver goods to customers safely and within scheduled timeframes.
- Complete local and long-distance deliveries as required.
- Load and unload products while ensuring they are handled with care.
- Plan and manage delivery routes efficiently.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including fuel receipts and delivery notes.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete pre-trip checklists.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, roadworthy, and adequately fuelled.
- Report vehicle faults and arrange repairs through the Logistics Coordinator.
- Assist with merchandising stock and the installation of display stands when required.
- Follow all road traffic regulations, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
- Valid Code 10 (C1) South African Driver's Licence.
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver.
- Willingness to travel long distances and stay overnight when required.
- Good knowledge of South African road networks.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
