Minimum Requirements

A completed BEng, BSc, or BTech Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics from an accredited South African university.
South African citizen, preferably between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
Little to no formal industrial workspace experience (designed strictly as an early-career graduate development pipeline).
Strong academic tracking record with consistent performance across thermal-fluid mechanics, structural design, automation control systems, or process optimization modules.
Proficiency in technical modeling and simulation software tools (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or MATLAB/Simulink).
Outstanding mechanical reasoning, analytical problem-solving logic, and data tracking habits.
Completely clear criminal and background history (standard corporate manufacturing vetting applies).
Key Responsibilities & Learning Exposure
Graduate engineers are placed under the mentorship of senior plant managers and engineering artisans, gaining direct exposure to advanced production lines:
Assisting with the optimization, calibration, and troubleshooting of high-speed automated packaging and corrugated manufacturing plant machinery.
Mapping operational workflows, identifying mechanical or process constraints, and applying lean manufacturing principles to minimize downtime.
Developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules to track structural integrity and machine asset longevity.
Compiling engineering modification data, reading intricate system schematics, and analyzing real-time process control parameters.
Participating in active greenfield or brownfield upgrade projects—assisting with equipment sizing, safety risk assessments, and commissioning tests.
Adhering strictly to corporate safety frameworks, quality control tracking systems, and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
