Requirements

Job Knowledge

Key Performance
- Assist in sorting and distributing samples in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure correct and prioritized channelling to various laboratories or sites.
- Support sample registration (“logging”) and respond to basic queries under supervision, following SOPs.
- Receive samples and verify that sample information corresponds with data on the Laboratory Information System (LIS) according to SOPs.
- Prepare and scan patient forms onto the laboratory scanning system (Occulus) accurately following SOPs.
- Assist in dispatching specimens for processing and monitor courier progress to ensure timely delivery and processing of samples.
- Uphold professional customer care principles while interacting ethically and professionally with medical staff and other stakeholders.
- Perform basic housekeeping duties, including preparation and cleaning of IT equipment in line with SOPs.
