Hytec South Africa (a Bosch Rexroth Africa Group Company) is participating in the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative for 2026. This 12-month programme is designed to provide unemployed youth with high-quality workplace experience in the hydraulics and engineering sectors.

2. Available Disciplines

3. Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the 2026 intake, you must meet the following:

  • Citizenship: South African citizen.

  • Age: Between 18 and 25 years old (though some YES partners allow up to 29, Hytec traditionally targets the 18–25 bracket).

  • Education: Minimum Grade 12 (Matric). Post-matric qualifications (Diploma/Degree) in relevant fields are often preferred for specific office roles.

  • Status: Currently unemployed and not studying full-time.

  • Background: Must be from a previously disadvantaged background (in line with EE Act).

  • Previous Participation: You must not have participated in a YES programme before.

  • Mentorship: Each learner is assigned a mentor to monitor progress and provide guidance.

  • Skills Development: Training in both technical skills and "soft skills," such as professional CV writing and interview preparation.

  • Career Pathway: Historically, a high percentage of Hytec YES learners (over 60%) are offered permanent or limited-duration contracts upon successful completion of the 12 months.
