6. Important Advice
Artisan Shortage: South Africa has a critical shortage of these specific trades. Completing this program makes you highly employable in mining, manufacturing, and food production sectors.
Trade Test: The end goal of this 36-month journey is the National Trade Test. Once passed, you are a Red Seal Qualified Artisan.
Stipend: As an apprentice, you will receive a monthly stipend and gain work experience with an industry partner.
Late Applications: The college is very strict—anything received after 13 March 2026 will not be considered.
Tip: If you have Pure Maths on your Matric certificate, highlight it clearly in your application letter, as it is a core requirement for these technical trades!
