2. What You Will Learn
This qualification covers both technical installation and business management:
Technical Skills: Mounting solar panels, installing battery energy storage systems (BESS), troubleshooting electrical components, and commissioning systems for safe operation.
Business Skills: Project management, basic costing and quoting, and professional client service to help you start your own renewable energy business.
3. Minimum Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the 2026 intake, you must:
Be a student or former student of Ehlanzeni TVET College.
Be between 18 and 35 years old and currently unemployed.
Have NOT previously benefited from a SETA-funded Learnership, Internship, or training programme.
Academic Criteria:
Electrical Infrastructure Construction (EIC) Level 4 with a minimum 75% pass.
OR Electrical Engineering N6 with a minimum 65% pass.
