Role Purpose
Sunbake Bakery seeks energetic individuals to join their production and distribution teams. The roles focus on ensuring high-quality artisanal baking, efficient stock management, and timely delivery of products to retail partners across South Africa.
Available Positions (Typical)
General Workers: Assist in the production line, packaging, and cleaning of the bakery environment.
Drivers (Code 10/14): Responsible for the safe delivery of bakery products to vendors and retail stores.
Merchandisers: Ensure Sunbake products are well-displayed and stock is rotated in retail outlets.
Bakers/Assistant Bakers: Assist in the mixing, proofing, and baking processes according to set recipes.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is preferred for most roles; Grade 10 may be considered for general labor.
Language: Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Physical Fitness: Capability to perform manual labor, stand for long periods, and lift heavy items (flour bags/crates).
Driver’s License: Valid Code 10 or 14 with a valid PrDP (for driving positions).
Experience: Previous experience in a bakery or manufacturing environment is an advantage but not always mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Adhere to strict Health and Safety (HSE) and Food Safety regulations.
Maintain high levels of hygiene in the production area.
Ensure accurate picking and packing of orders.
Perform quality checks on baked goods before distribution.
