Programme Purpose
The SGNA programme is a flagship initiative by the Services SETA designed to bridge the gap between tertiary education and the world of work. It provides unemployed graduates with structured workplace experience (Work Integrated Learning) and mentorship within the services sector to enhance their employability and professional skills.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the 2026 intake, applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
Education: Must have completed a Degree or Diploma (NQF Level 6 or higher) from a recognized South African Higher Education Institution.
Status: Must be currently unemployed.
Prior Experience: Must not have participated in a previous SETA-funded graduate or internship programme.
What the Programme Offers
Duration: 12 months of structured work-based learning.
Financial Support: A monthly stipend (determined by the SETA according to NQF level).
Mentorship: Exposure to industry professionals and workplace coaching.
Certification: A certificate of completion upon finishing the 12-month period.
