Monthly Stipend: * R6,355.69 (for Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma NQF 6 & 7)

  • R3,728.90 (for N6 Certificate holders)

Programme Overview

SANParks is inviting unemployed graduates to apply for internship opportunities. The programme is designed to provide practical workplace exposure within the leading conservation authority in South Africa.

Available Fields of Study

  • Conservation & Scientific: Environmental Sciences, Nature Conservation, Research Assistance.

  • Tourism & Hospitality: Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Field Guiding.

  • Corporate & Administrative: Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Science, Records Management, and Business Management.

  • Technical: Civil Engineering, Handyman services, and Maintenance.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: * Degree/National Diploma (NQF 6 or 7) from a South African Public Higher Education Institution.

    • Or an N6 Certificate from a TVET College/HEI (specifically for technical/admin streams).

  • Age: Unemployed youth between 18 and 35 years.

  • Citizenship: South African citizens only.

  • Experience: Must not have previously participated in any internship or placement programme.

  • Residency: Preference is often given to candidates residing in communities adjacent to the National Parks (e.g., Eastern Cape for Garden Route/Addo).
