Programme Overview
The Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative at Hungry Lion provides unemployed South African youth with 12 months of high-quality work experience in a corporate or warehouse environment. The program aims to build professional competence, digital literacy, and workplace confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support: Perform various office-based tasks as assigned by the supervisor (HR, marketing, logistics, or finance departments).
Operational Duties: Assist with daily business operations in the office or support warehouse functions.
Learning & Development: Complete all required online and practical learning modules to achieve program completion.
Professionalism: Maintain workplace standards, handle digital tools, and work effectively within a team.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is mandatory.
Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
Eligibility: Must never have participated in a YES learnership previously.
Skills: Basic computer literacy is required.
Location: Must be able to commute to Stellenbosch or Kraaifontein daily.
