2. Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this entry-level HR role, you need:

  • Education: A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or NCV Level 4 plus a National Diploma in HR Management / Public Management (NQF Level 6).

  • Experience: 1 year of experience in an HR environment is considered an advantage.

  • Knowledge:

    • Working knowledge of PERSAL (Introduction to PERSAL, Leave, or Personnel Admin certificates are a major plus).

    • Familiarity with HR prescripts (Public Service Act, BCEA, and Employment Equity Act).

  • Skills: Good communication, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure. A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.


3. Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Assist with the administrative sifting of applications and coordination of interview processes.

  • Conditions of Service: Process leave applications, housing allowances, medical aid, and pension documents.

  • Records Management: Maintain personnel files and update HR databases.

  • PERSAL Processing: Capture and verify human resource transactions on the PERSAL system.

  • Support: Assist with employee wellness initiatives and labour relations administrative tasks.
