Role Purpose
To maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Dis-Chem Head Office, including office spaces, communal areas, restrooms, and kitchens.
Key Responsibilities
Hygiene Standards: Provide daily cleaning of the Head Office and communal areas according to Dis-Chem standards.
Maintenance: Vacuum meeting and training rooms daily; vacuum other carpeted areas weekly. Dust desks, chairs, telephones, and equipment.
Restock & Inventory: Ensure restrooms and kitchens are clean and stocked with necessary products. Report low stock to the Team Leader.
Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations. Ensure wet floor signs are visible and cleaning utensils are stored safely when not in use.
Customer Service: Interact professionally with guests and staff, guiding customers to the correct floor or personnel when requested.
Reporting: Identify and report malfunctioning equipment (e.g., leaking taps, broken handles, or faulty lights) to the Team Leader.
Waste Management: Check refuse for valued goods or products before disposal.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Grade 12 / Matric (Essential).
Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
Legal: Clear criminal and credit record (MIE check will be conducted).
Skills: * Ability to speak English.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Trustworthy, honest, and good time management.
Personal Attributes: Friendly, professional, and able to work under pressure.
Travel: Must have a driver’s license and own reliable transport.
