Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist with the daily running of the hospital store and support proper stock control within the SCM Department.

Key duties include:

  • Safeguarding inventory items
  • Keeping the store neat and tidy according to OHS regulations
  • Updating bin cards immediately
  • Applying the FIFO stock method
  • Identifying obsolete stock items
  • Assisting with write-off submissions
  • Investigating stock variances and corrective actions
  • Assisting with mid-year and year-end stock takes
  • Maintaining an orderly filing system for request forms
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • Assisting with retrieving assets from hospital units
  • Compiling monthly reports for out-of-stock items
  • Distributing stock and assets to end-users
  • Performing other duties delegated by the supervisor or manager
