6. Important Advice for 2026

  • Local Advantage: Because this program is specifically for Mogale City residents, ensure your "Proof of Residence" or the address on your CV is clearly within the municipal boundaries.

  • Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will undergo criminal record checks, qualification verification, and potentially credit checks.

  • Feedback Window: If you do not hear anything within 90 days after the 19 March closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.

  • The "First-Timer" Rule: If you have already done an internship with another government department or municipality, you are not eligible for this role.

7. Why Join Mogale City?

  • Service Delivery Experience: Gaining experience in local government is highly valuable if you plan to build a career in the public sector.

  • Networking: You will work directly with various municipal stakeholders, building a professional network in the West Rand.

  • Stipend Support: The R5,000 stipend helps cover basic costs while you gain skills that significantly improve your employability.

Tip: Since this is a hand-delivery process, try to submit your application a few days before the 19 March deadline to avoid long queues at the Human Capital office.
