  3. Required Documents: * A professional, updated CV.

5. Important Advice for 2026

  • Competency Validity: Ensure your firearm competency and PSIRA registration are not expired. This is the #1 reason for immediate disqualification.

  • Tactical Awareness: In your interview, demonstrate a "tactical mindset." Talk about situational awareness and how you prevent incidents before they happen, rather than just reacting to them.

  • The "Female" Advantage: Fidelity explicitly encourages Black Female Candidates to apply for these roles as part of their diversity and inclusion strategy.

  • NKP Accreditation: If you have National Key Point (NKP) training, highlight this prominently; it makes you eligible for even higher-security sites like power stations or government buildings.

6. Why Join Fidelity?

  • Industry Leader: Working for Fidelity gives you access to the best training and technology in the private security sector.

  • Specialized Divisions: You can grow into specialized units like Tactical Response, CIT (Cash-In-Transit), or Specialized Guarding.

  • Stability: Fidelity is a massive group with over 60 years of experience, offering much higher job security than smaller, unlisted security firms.

  • Training: They were among the first to establish a SASSETA-accredited learnership program, ensuring you have the opportunity to upgrade your skills.

Tip: During the interview, you may be asked about "Use of Force." Always emphasize that your firearm is a last resort and that your primary goal is the protection of life according to the law (Section 49 of the Criminal Procedure Act).
