AVBOB Mutual Assurance Society, in partnership with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), is offering a structured 12-month Learnership Programme for 2026. This program is designed for unemployed South African youth to gain a nationally recognized NQF Level 4 qualification while gaining practical experience in the insurance industry.

2. Available Locations for 2026

AVBOB is recruiting for various branches and regional offices, including:

  • Gauteng: Tembisa, Bronkhorstspruit, Centurion, and Montana.

  • Limpopo: Polokwane, Bochum, Mokopane, Lebowakgomo, and Jane Furse.

  • Mpumalanga: Bushbuckridge, Hazyview, White River, Malelane, and Ermelo.

  • Other Areas: Bela-Bela, George, Knysna, and selected offices in KwaZulu-Natal (Pietermaritzburg, Newcastle).


3. Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the 2026 intake, applicants must meet the following:

  • Education: A valid Matric (Grade 12) certificate with the following subjects:

    • English (Compulsory).

    • Mathematics OR Maths Literacy OR Accounting.

  • Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.

  • Status: Must be currently unemployed and a South African citizen.

  • Exclusions: Must not have participated in a previous learnership and must not be currently registered for other studies.

  • Skills: Basic computer literacy (MS Office) and strong communication skills.

  • Extras: A reliable mode of transport and owning a smartphone/laptop is highly advantageous.
