What Participants May Gain
Through participation in the programme, youth may gain practical work experience and develop new skills that can support their long-term employability.
Who Should Apply
The programme is open to South African youth who meet the following criteria:
- Are between 18 and 29 years old as of 1 May 2026
- Have a minimum of a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification, or a completed post-matric qualification at NQF Level 5, 6, or 7

Programme Benefits
Participants receive a monthly stipend guided by the YES Programme framework. The stipend is intended to assist with living, food, and travel-related expenses during the contract period.
Training or Placement Location
Work experience placements take place at various sites, branches, and offices across South Africa. Some roles may offer hybrid or remote working arrangements, depending on the division and job requirements.
Participants may be required to work weekdays and, in some cases, shifts that include weekends and public holidays. This means participants must be able to travel to and from the workplace as required.
