2. Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following:
Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
Knowledge: Understanding of telephone etiquette and Batho Pele principles (putting people first).
Skills: * Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

3. Key Responsibilities
System Operation: Operating the PABX system and managing all incoming and outgoing calls.
Information Services: Solving caller inquiries related to Department of Health services or redirecting them to the correct units.
Administration: Maintaining an updated departmental telephone list and managing switchboard equipment.
Security: Screening calls and ensuring the safeguarding of government property within the workstation.
Customer Focus: Providing a professional and friendly first point of contact for the public and stakeholders.
