3. Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Citizenship: Preference is given to South African citizens or permanent residents.
Registration: Must be registered for a BSc (Hons), MSc, or PhD degree with a research project in Virology.
Academic Record: Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in the most recent year of study.
Employment: The PRF does not support full-time employees (salary-receiving).
Commitment: Students may not change their research project without prior approval from the PRF.
