Handyman vacancy at Office of the Chief Justice
- Reference Number: 2025/386/OCJ
- Salary: R163,680 – R192,810 per annum (Level 03)
- Location: Land Court, Randburg
- Contract: Successful candidates will be required to sign a performance agreement
Requirements
- Education: Grade 10, ABET Level 3, or a recognized trade certificate
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant field
- Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Understanding of building infrastructure layouts
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Problem-solving and innovative thinking
- Semi-skilled in trades such as plumbing, electrical, bricklaying, carpentry, or mechanical
- Physical fitness and reliability
- Experience in driving
Key Responsibilities
- Relocate office equipment and coordinate removal of damaged items
- Repair or replace broken furniture and office equipment
- Fit and fix doors, locks, light globes, and plugs
- Unblock toilets, basins, and drains
- Ensure all work complies with Occupational Health and Safety Act standards
- Monitor quality of work done by contractors and service providers
- Attend minor repairs and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
- Accompany landlords and contractors during building repairs or inspections
