Fields of Study Covered

Bursaries are specifically awarded for studies at the following two institutions:

  • University of Cape Town (UCT):

    • Accounting

    • Computer Science / Information Technology (IT)

    • Data Science

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Mechanical Engineering

    • (Must have completed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year)

  • University of Stellenbosch (SU):

    • Chemical Engineering

    • Civil Engineering

    • Geology

    • Process Engineering

    • (Must have completed 1st year)

Coverage and Benefits

The ARM Bursary is comprehensive and covers the following expenses:

  • Full Tuition Fees and Registration Fees.

  • Prescribed Textbooks.

  • Laptop for study purposes.

  • University Residence Accommodation and Meals.

  • Note: The bursary does not cover historical/outstanding debt.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • South African Citizen.

  • Must have completed Matric.

  • Must be currently enrolled at UCT or Stellenbosch University in one of the listed fields.

  • Must have a strong academic record.

  • Must not be a recipient of any other bursary funding for the 2026 academic year.

There is no formal application form to fill out. Applications must be submitted via email.

Required Supporting Documents:

  1. Certified copy of South African ID.

  2. Certified copy of Matric Certificate.

  3. Full University Academic Record (on official institution letterhead).

  4. University Acceptance Letter (on official institution letterhead).

Submission Instructions:

Selection Process

  • Shortlisting: Contacted within 21 days after the closing date.

  • Assessment: Shortlisted candidates must attend a panel interview and undergo psychometric testing.

  • Feedback: If you do not hear back within 21 days of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
