Program Overview

These programs are designed for unemployed South African youth to gain accredited qualifications while receiving a monthly stipend. They combine theoretical training with practical workplace experience.

Available Qualifications

The following 31 positions are categorized by NQF (National Qualifications Framework) levels:

Business & Administration

  • Business Administration: NQF Level 2 (Minimum: Grade 12)

  • Business Administration Services: NQF Level 3 (Minimum: Grade 11)

  • Generic Management: NQF Level 4 (Minimum: Grade 12)

  • Project Management (QCTO): NQF Level 5 (Minimum: Grade 12)

Information Technology (IT)

  • End User Computing: NQF Level 3 (Minimum: Grade 11 + Computer Literacy)

  • Systems Development / Technical Support: NQF Level 4 (Minimum: Grade 12)

  • Cybersecurity Analyst (QCTO): NQF Level 5 (Minimum: Grade 12)

  • Cloud Administrator (QCTO): NQF Level 4 (Minimum: Grade 12)

Finance & Insurance

  • Bookkeeping: NQF Level 3 (Minimum: Grade 12)

  • Wealth Management / Short-Term Insurance: NQF Level 4 (Minimum: Grade 12 with Maths/Maths Lit)

  • Office Administration: NQF Level 5 (Minimum: Grade 12)

Vocational & Technical

  • Commercial Cleaner (QCTO): NQF Level 1 (Minimum: Grade 9)

  • Truck Driver (QCTO): NQF Level 3 (Minimum: Grade 10)

  • Security Officer (QCTO): NQF Level 3 (Minimum: Grade 10)

  • Supply Chain Practitioner (QCTO): NQF Level 5 (Minimum: Grade 12)


Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for these positions, applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35.

  • Be currently unemployed.

  • Meet the minimum educational requirement (Grade 9 to Grade 12, depending on the role).

  • Not be currently enrolled in any other learnership or internship.
