1. Eligible Fields of Study
Bursaries are available for full-time degree studies at recognised public tertiary institutions in South Africa:
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) — priority fields
- Humanities
2. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all the following minimum criteria:
- South African citizen.
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
- Minimum 65% overall average.
- Studying or enrolled full-time at a recognised public tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Total household income not more than R1 million per annum.
3. Bursary Coverage and Obligations
Covers the following:
- Tuition fees
- Textbooks
- Meals
- Accommodation in university residence
- Access to additional learning resources
Obligations:
- Submit academic results each semester to maintain funding.
- 1st-year students must attend mandatory on-campus support sessions provided by the PPS Foundation.

1. Eligible Fields of Study
Bursaries are awarded for full-time degree studies at a recognised public tertiary institution in the following fields:
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics): These are considered scarce and critical sectors, and preference will be given to students pursuing these degrees.
Humanities
2. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must satisfy all the following minimum criteria:
Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
Academics: Must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
Academic Performance: Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65%.
Institution: Must be studying or enrolled to study full-time at a recognised public tertiary institution (University or University of Technology) in South Africa.
Financial Need: Must have a total household income of NOT more than R1 million per annum.
3. Bursary Coverage and Obligations
Coverage:
The bursary will provide cover for the following essential expenses:
Tuition fees
Text books
Meals
Accommodation (at university residence)
Access to other resources to reduce learning challenges.
Obligations:
Academic Progress: Bursary recipients are required to submit their statement of results at the end of each semester to continue receiving funding.
1st-Year Support: Recipients in their 1st year of study will be required to attend on-campus contact support sessions facilitated by the PPS Foundation at certain times throughout the year.
