1. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must satisfy all the following minimum criteria to be considered:
Residency: Must reside within the jurisdiction of the Breede Valley Municipality (Rawsonville, Worcester, De Doorns, and Touwsrivier) in the Western Cape.
Academic Status: Must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
Academic Performance: Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 50% in Matric.
Study Plan: Must be studying or intend on studying at an accredited tertiary educational institution in South Africa.
Field of Study: Preferably a field related to local government, however, other fields may also be considered.
Funding Status: Must NOT be receiving NSFAS funding or any other bursary award.
Values: Must support and endorse the Municipality's vision of a unique and caring valley of excellent service delivery, opportunities, and growth.
2. Bursary Coverage
The bursary provides partial cover for registration fees only.
The funds will be paid directly into the bank account of the educational institution.
3. Application Process
Step 1: Obtain the Application Form

Step 2: Compile Supporting Documents
Submit clear certified copies of the following compulsory documents along with your completed application form.
ID document.
If currently in Matric: Latest Matric results.
If completed Matric: Matric certificate.
If currently studying: Full tertiary academic record (on institute's letterhead).
Proof of tertiary registration (on institute's letterhead).
Breakdown of study fees, including book fees (on institute's letterhead).
Parents or guardians proof of income:
Latest payslips (if employed).
Affidavit (if unemployed).
Bank statements (if self-employed).
Proof of grant or pension (if applicable).
Death certificate (if deceased).
Proof of residence (municipal account).
