GIBB YES Internship Programme 2025 / 2026
The YES Programme is a collaboration between business and government to combat youth unemployment in South Africa. It provides young people with practical workplace exposure, skills development, and a salary that helps improve their employability and future career prospects.
The programme is open to youth aged 18–35 years, unemployed, and South African citizens. Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Johannesburg (Gauteng)
Business Admin/Project/IT/Finance/Supply Chain Management (Ref: GIB-341) – Closing 30 September 2025
- Learner placements in Group Shared Services
- Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in relevant field
Electrical Engineering (Ref: GIB-344) – Closing 30 September 2025
- BTech/BEng in Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering (Ref: GIB-343) – Closing 30 September 2025
- BTech/BEng in Mechanical Engineering
- CAD literacy (preferably AutoCAD) required
Cape Town (Ref: GIB-348) – Closing 31 August 2025
- Transportation: 2 x Students with a National Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Structures: 1 x Student with a National Diploma in Civil Engineering (Structures)
General Requirements
- South African citizen (born in South Africa)
- Aged 18–35 years
- Unemployed and available for a 12-month contract
- Not a previous YES beneficiary
- PC literate
- Aspiration to learn and gain new skills
- Responsible and honest
