NSFAS APPLICATIONS ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN FOR 2025

 National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Applications are officially open for 2025 academic year.

Applications for financial aid for all learners who wish to enter the post-school system and students who do not have financial assistance to further their studies in the 2025 academic year are now officially open on the 1 September 2024 and will close 30th November 2024.

NSFAS Applications are officially open for 2025

One of the reasons for opening applications in November according to the statement issued on Monday is so that NSFAS can afford the beneficiary shorter turn-around times for decision making, which is aligned to the financial eligibility assessment which requires updated South African Revenue Service (SARS) information.

NSFAS urged students to provide accurate information, parental information in particular when applying so that when validations occur with Home Affairs, students can be easily funded and not be subjected to appeal processes to prove parental relationship.

Applicants can apply directly on the NSFAS website at www.nsfas.org.za

The NSFAS explained that all rejected applicants will be able appeal and it is important that students submit the appropriate supporting documents.
