Job Details:

• Position: General Workers (x37 posts)
• Location: Table Mountain National Park
• Salary: R9,832.13 per month

Duties and Responsibilities: 

The General Workers will be responsible for various tasks related to maintenance, cleaning, administrative duties, admission management, and more within Table Mountain National Park. The duties include:

• General maintenance and upkeep of the park.
• Cleaning of facilities and visitor areas.
• Basic administrative tasks.
• Assisting with admission management.
• Maintenance of tourism facilities.
• Refuse removal and cleaning.
• Basic traffic management and access control.
• Information dissemination.
• Wildfire suppression if required.
• Patrols, inspections, and other ad hoc tasks.

Requirements: 

To be eligible for these positions, you should meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 (Standard 10).
• 1-2 years of practical work experience in a similar working environment.
• Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and First Aid.
• A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
• SARS Tax Reference.
• Clear Criminal Record.
• Proficiency in English and other local languages.
• Must be physically fit to work long hours on your feet in varying weather conditions.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays between December 15, 2023, and January 15, 2024, as per operational requirements.
